Please tell me you didn’t miss out on the Holiday Promenade!  You’ll have to wait a whole year for another chance to celebrate the start of holiday shopping in the east village!  It was packed!  There were ice skaters galore at Brenton skating plaza, free carriage rides, treats and goodies in the shops, and I believe that santa may have even made an appearance!

I hope you had a chance to try our treats.  You had to act fast because they were gone before 7!  We’ll be more prepared next year!

Jen Geigley, knitter extraordinaire,  from HeyJenRenee taught the first round of knitting last night to a very eager group of ladies.  The class filled up quickly, but don’t worry if you weren’t able to snag a spot the first time around!  We’re offering the two part class again on January 13th and February 10th!  Sign up now because the spots will be gone in the blink of an eye!

Could my day get any better than this?!?  Not only did someone send us a letter, but they addressed it to “Ephemera, Little Miss”!  How sweet is that?

You can interpret the subject as “ephemera is first class” or as “the first class of ephemera”.  You probably already knew the former, but you may have been unaware that ephemera offered her first class last night and it was an inspiration wonderland!  Or at least we think so.  You be the judge.

Artist Brandie Butcher-Isley shared her techniques in mixed media collage and our 13 very instruct-able students created artist trading cards that were the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.  Don’t worry if you missed it!  Brandie is offering another class in January.  Stay tuned for an updated schedule!

We decided to take a little break from blogging so we could get all settled in to our absolutely lovely new space on e. locust (505 e. locust to be exact!).  Well, actually the lack of internet made the decision for us.  Considering that was the biggest obstacle we faced during this move, we feel exceptionally lucky!  We owe a great big thank you to everyone who helped us paint and move and paint some more and move some more and who offered moral support and tea breaks and  food (or just a friendly reminder to eat) and to the chandelier hangers and truck loaners and furniture givers and to those who stopped by simply because they wanted to see how we were doing!  Thanks a million!

The blue chair and all of the other fixtures that make ephemera ephemera are feeling all settled in (and so are the owners!).  If you haven’t stopped by to see us, you should!  We’re dying to show off the place.
